Hey guys! It’s me, B! Today I am back with yet another interview blog post. Today I am interviewing Kelsey from @missouriprepster on Instagram, and her blog, missouriprepster.com. Let’s dive in!
1. Can you please tell me a little about yourself?
“I am born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri! I am a junior in college and am a Delta Zeta. I love fashion and I hope to have a career in the fashion industry!”
2. What/who inspired you to start blogging?
“My love for fashion inspired me to start blogging. I have loved fashion for as long as I can remember. When I was little, I loved going shopping with my Grandma and Mom and getting to look at all the clothes. When I got to high school, I played competitive volleyball. I played all year round, on my school team and on traveling club teams. However, when I got to my junior season, I rolled my ankle so bad during club tryouts that I immediately had to go to the ER. The doctors could not find anything wrong and just called it a severe sprain. Turns out, I totally messed up my ankle!! It took about 8 months for doctors to realize that I needed to have surgery. I had a reconstructive surgery on my ankle and doctors told me that I could not play sports anymore. During that time, fashion became a super important thing in my life. I started my blog during one of the hardest times of my life. When I had just lost the sport that I loved. I was lost and heartbroken. Fashion is just so special to me. It lets each and every person express themselves. I started my blog to share my creativity with the world and share pieces that I loved.”
3. What is your favorite thing about blogging?
“I love everything about blogging! But my favorite would be helping people! I love when my followers reach out and say that they fell in love with a product that I posted about! It just validated why I do this!”
4. What is the biggest tip you can give to new bloggers?
“My biggest tip is to be yourself! Being unique is fun! Followers will come along eventually! Just be yourself, be creative, don’t be afraid to express yourself, and post regularly!”
5. What is your greatest achievement your blog has provided you with so far?
“Honestly, I still get so excited when I get to collaborate with companies! I get so giddy when I get PR packages! For example, I work with Vineyard Vines and Lilly Pulitzer. It is crazy to think that these companies help support my blog and want me to post about their products and they actually want to work with me! Never in a million years did I think that I would have such an opportunity!!! It is amazing!”
